“My Hammy 2-1 Pittsburg in OT

This was a matchup of the short and hairy against the twisted short and hairy with slaves. What looked to be a great matchup on paper delivered more than the lucky fans in attendance could ask for.

The Pirates won the coin toss and elected to recieve, planning on putting a hurting on the dwarfs and put them down a score before the Dorf Grins would ever have a chance to see the ball. Pittsburg started with a slight advantage on the first drive (Quick Start) and flawlessly executed a beautiful blocking scheme which led to a late hit that moved a dwarf off the pitch into the KO box. My Hammy returned the favor a couple turns later KOing Pitt's minotaur on a late hit. Near the end of the 1st quarter Kimo von Oelhoffer laid a beautiful hit while carring the ball badly hurting dwarf star slayer Jes E. Powell. My Hammy retaliated, Mauler Moore seriously injured Charles Richard “Dick” LeBeau and Hubie Grogg made a daring -2db blitz on the ball, not only freeing the ball but also tripping up Kimo. Phoul Warfield saw the opportunity and darted in with his special shoes knocking Kimo out on a late hit. End of the 1st quarter and the ball was lying on the pitch surrounded by Pittsburg players. The Pirates were infuriated by the Dorf Grins daring and made them pay for their mistakes. Pitt secured the ball while Dwight Lynn White badly hurt Mik Kolen. Two other dwarfs were knocked out, their thick skulls useless to stop the pounding of the incensed Pirates. Even with just 6 dwarfs on the field My Hammy managed to KO Terry Paxton while trying to recover defensively. Pitt dropped another late hit on a prone Hubie, badly hurting him. In a shock to all watching My Hammy head coach sent his apoth out to get Hubie back in the game. Hubie hopped up and blitzed the ballcarrier his next turn to no success. The Pirates giggled with glee imagining how nice it was going to be killing Hubie on their next late hit which came just moments later. It was obvious to all watching that this was a planned attack on the prone Hubie and even the ref was able to see. Hence Pitt lost a player to the dungeons for unsportsmanlike play. The Pirates stalled out the remaining turn and walked the ball in to put them on the scoreboard 1st. Pitt 1-0 My Hammy. Still having to kickoff to My Hammy the Pirates concoted a perfect defense and left rookie James Alfred Farrior on the LoS. This turns out to be the last time James was going to be seen in a Pirates uniform as moments later Bub Kickenburg dropped a fatal blow upon him. Pittsburg players snickered on the sidelines as everyone knows there is no way you use an Apoth on a rookie.

When asked what happened and why he sent the apothecary in for a badly hurt player. 'I was lookin in the stands for a beer vendor and had just caught ones eye and was ordering a drink. The team apothecary must have thought when I raised my hand that I wanted him to save Hubie. I was just looking for a beer or three because I thought this game was going to sprial out of control on us. We had only 4 guys and Hubie on the pitch, of course it's time to get drunk when your dwarfs can't take a hit without coming off the field.'

My Hammy now had the ball and prepared to deliver some brutal punishment of their own. What had been a Pirate advantage going into the half 12v10 turned around to favor the Dorf Grins in the 2nd half 10v12 as Pitt star Jack was seen clutching his stomach claiming some bad drink at halftime had gotten to him. Dug Krushman delivered a crippling blow to Earnest seriously injuring him, it appears he will be unlikely to have his full dexterity back for his playing carrer. Phoul followed up in their next turn with a late hit again removing minotaur Mean Joe but was caught by the ref this time and removed from the pitch. Kimo saw an opening and blitzed the ball free. The ball was on the groun for the 2nd time this match, this time surrouned by dwarfs but Pitt had a presence in the area. The ref was on top of his game as he began booting late hitters and another Pitt player was sent to the dungeon. My Hammy put a couple bodies around the ball and waited for Hubie to come back from stunning to pick it up for them. Pitt's Santonio tried to sneak in and steal the ball away but was unable to secure the ball and ended up in a bad position himself. Hubie collected the ball and was in a loose cage at midfield at the end of the 3rd quarter. with a 10 to 7 body advantage on the pitch. My Hammy had the numbers advantage and pressed forward punishing Pitt along the way removing bodies at an impressive rate. Just one turn later it was a 10-5 advantage. My Hammy stalled it out scoring just before the end of regulation time making it 1-1.

My Hammy delivered a blow that will go down in Pittsburg fan lore as a reason to hate the Dorf Grins forever. In the opening turn of Overtime Al Jinxins crushed Pitt star Jack Raphael Ham, Jr's collarbone leaving him -ST negating all his great work ethic bringing him back down to the same strength of all his fellow Chaos Dwarfs. Pittsburg quickly retaliated laying a late hit on Al knocking him out but the damage was done and My Hammy made their way painfully slow down the field badly hurting The Bus and seriously injuring Dwight on their way downfield for the final score.

My Hammy upsets Pittsburg in the AFC Divisional match and advances. Pittsburg looks to have a rebuilding year after such an evil trick by nuffle in what they hoped was to be their year.

Evil turn of events from the end of the 1st half on for your Pirates Nico. Beautifully played. At one point I thought we were going 2-0 down in the 2nd half and game would have been over. I'll see ya in the next season.”
