My 1st ever game wth Norse. I expected Block to come in handy, but didn't really know what the blitzers would do.

Playing agains elfs, I get rain and a blitz before he even gets to move. That's pretty much how the game went on. I almost got the ball off him in my 1st turn, but instead managed a BH and he caused himself another. After that I finally managed to bring it down, but in a place packed full of players. Instead of going through the trouble of keeping his players down, I pushed it out of the field and it appeared deep in his zone. I picked it up but I didn't have enough movement to score this turn. He tried a risky block and failed, so I scored.

He gets the kick again. Perfect defense. Wow, big luck again. But I make deployment mistakes which leaves him able to knock my whole line down and failing to pick the ball. He failed a dodge (I think his third rerolled double-1) so I was able to surround it. He still managed to pick it up in his turn, but immediately I BHed his wardancer with the ball. That's my big leaping worry gone.

In my half, I half-caged on my right flank and he put most of his elfs right in front to stop me. Result : I pushed the elfs in the middle aside and made a sturdy cage there. As soon as I got enough movement to score, it was 2-0.

He received the kick but decided to block my line first. He failed 2 2D blocks, meaning the second one made a turnover and he BHed himself in the process. I got it with my catcher and protected myself well while I made a couple KOs. Once again he BHed himself trying to block the ball out of my hands, so I had the path cleared to make it 3-0 with little time and only 4 elfs remaining.

"This went better than I expected". But to tell the truth, 60% to 50% luck hardly seems true. I used most of my rerolls on pushbacks because I was never faling anything else, and he got his share of bad lucks, plus the rain being a major pain for him all game long. I'm just glad all the CAS were BH. Though I expected Paul "Hicks" Dirtyplayer to do something, his special talents weren't required.
