#5 Grennel – Dead (RIP)
Soulless Revival, a serious contender, met up with the Dead Knights, who returned after three months recovery after a severe beating in their first Antipodal Regional Shield. The game looked to heavily favor Soulless Revival as the Dead Knights' mummy Amun-Sul was temporarily unavailable. Despite this, the Dead Knights decided to give it their all.

The first half opened up with each team testing the defenses of the other before getting embroiled in an all out pitched battle. Soulless Revival received and immediately drove to one sideline. Fortunately for the Knights, they managed to tie up several key players on the opposite side of the pitch which allowed most of their strength to be focused on the ball carrier. Brag Bodyseeker (the ball carrier) was knocked out, leaving the Knights premier ball handler Icetouch to attempt (and fail) to grab the loose ball. Surprisingly, the Knights' mummy Akhen-Tor came up with the ball, although that was short lived as the mummy Apep the Dark took exception and took Akhen-Tor down (and he was quickly fouled and badly hurt by Stinkbreath the Gutted). This time Icetouch managed to hold onto the ball and make a dash for the end zone, before being surrounded and brought down. Rotbone (having picked up the ball) gave it to Deathgrip Gravefinder who, despite a last ditch attempt to stop him by Sleet, waltzed into the end zone without trouble.

At the start of the second half, the Knights knew they were in trouble. Down two mummies, it also quickly became apparent that Soulless Revival had "gotten to" the ref. Even so, the Knights managed to open a hole in Soulless Revival's line where Velas tossed the ball to Jovan (who had escaped several players) for a quick score.

Lining up again and seeking something to turn the odds in their favor, the Knights managed to pull off a blitz, leaving Icetouch in possession of the ball. All focus went to one side of the pitch, and a mighty battle began. Stinkbreath the Gutted fouled and injured Jovan and Icetouch made a dash toward the endzone, where he was taken down by a mob of Revivalists. The Knights made a bid to regain control of the ball, but Velas was tripped up on the way. With several stunned Knights to choose from, Stinkbreath struck again, fouling Grennel to death. Soulless Revival's Gre-Vriret picked up the ball and marched downfield, with Deathgrip Gravefinder crowd surfing Drift into the injured box along the way. Facing 6 on 11 odds, the Knights tried to get away, to do something, but all for naught, even loosing Velas on a failed block against Brag Bodyseeker. Gre-Vriret calmly marched down for the winning score.

Another rough Antipodal game for the Knights. I have to give a lot of credit to Stinkbreath though, his key fouls took out two ghouls and a mummy, removing them from the game (and unlife in the case of Grennel). Good luck to GeneralMarauder in the rest of the Tourney!
