“Fulham lined up against the Ogres, hoping to make their strength advantage count.
The Ogres were controlling the play early on and when Fulham pushed forward to put pressure on them they were caught out by a clever ball over the top (TTM). Fulham got back in numbers, but the Ogres still had a chance to score, which they failed. Fulham collected the ball and ran up the other end to score for 1-0 (although a wayward pass from Barry Hayles almost left them with red faces).
The second half started with the Ogres already short on players, so Fulham were able to bring the ball forward to score again for 2-0. As the Ogre crowd started to get restless, they went for another long ball play (TTM), this time with success, bringing the score to 2-1 as the game finished.
So, with a brace from Louis Saha, no long term injuries and some money in the bank, Fulham's season continues to go from strength to strength.
Thanks for the game Skulll and good luck with the rest of the season.”
