“Briarwood Brawl August 2010 - 2nd round

Handicap against (1): I Am The Greatest (Derek 'Nightleap' Landri and Dante 'Bonecarver' Rosario)

This is NOT the game I should have played, but a certain chucklehead coach ducked out on his game against the brawlers, leaving me to face the full wrath of 3 trees, no rerolls and a handicap. I won't mention any names, but I killed his namesake on the Brawlers team :)

This went about as I expected with no rerolls. Elves being elves, they rolled a lot of 1s and a lot of double skulls and there was nothing I could do about it. I prevented the score in the first half and nearly ran in a counter TD but ran out of time 2 paces from the endzone. 2nd half I was outnumbered and couldn't pick up the ball or hand it off to save my life, even with an AG 5 player. Then a lucky bounce landed the ball in the waiting hands of Crimsonwolf even though he was covered by 2 other players and he scampered away for a fairly easy TD (2 dodges, 2 gfis, still had a reroll in the bag). A late attempt to tie it up resulted in a death against me (on a foul) and my witch elf failing her very first dodge. Whoever faces these guys next better watch out! They will be able to hire Deeproot again and buy at least one chef's ingredients.

Good game, stinkytroll. Your strategy worked nearly flawlessly and I hope you go on to win the Copper Keg. Then I want a rematch without Deeproot so I can pound your flings into the pitch :)
