Once more the Investigators strode forth to battle the evils threatening Arkham. They had uncovered a trail leading to a coven of cultists. Once upon the field of battle it became clear that these were the very cultists that had driven the Investigators back earlier, while completing a foul ritual complete with human sacrifice.

Heartened by this second chance to drive these horrors away for good the Investigators charged their opponents, early taking command of the battle and dominating the opposition. However, as the battle wore on the cultists rallied and fought back with manic strengh.

The battle raged long and hot, and in the end all the Investigators managed was to temporarily drive their opponents back, forcing them to flee into the dark woods surrounding Arkham.

"We will get them next time", Michael McGlen muttered. "Atleast we gave as good as we got in this one."

Zoey Samaras, one of the Investigators most recent recruits, couldn't handle the stress of combat and was driven insane, her already fragile psyche shattered by the horrors she had witnessed. She has been brought to the Arkham Asylum to receive aid, and a new recruit has been brought in to replace her -Roland Banks, the Fed. Hopefully he will prove stronger of mind than his predecessor, though truly, who could face the horrors of the Ancient Ones and not feel their sanity start to slip?”
