One of the more enjoyable matches I've played in recent memory.

The match began with some Walbert hyped up and buzzing, Blewtung sneaking on some knuckledusters, and some bad press leading to the wrongful arrest of a Tribute skink.

Early fouls saw Tribute's leading light requiring the use of the apothecary, but the Thrszti skink sent off. Some solid blocking by the McBeal crew took out a few key players (including 'the Croc' and Ferdi), and an easy stroll into the endzone for a TD.

The second half saw the Tribute crews dominance, with a dropped pass and general lack of numbers enabling a breakthrough, and leaving rookie skink BX stuck on the sidelines with nowhere to go.

With 5 turns left and 0-2 down on the scoreboard, it looked like it was all over bar the shouting.
What followed was a far more determined start - some Thrszti blocks finally struck home, and the numbers defecit was shortened somewhat. From there, everything started to go wrong for the McBeal crew. Their wizard was clearly overcharging for his services, as his Conflagration of Doom™ spell was nothing more than a damp fizzle. So enraged by this appalling display, Tribute player Raymond Millbury completely muffed his blitz, going down right in front of the scrappy BX.
With time running down, the Thrszti lads knew they needed all of it to try and level the scores, so with 2 turns to go, the teams set up again...
...only for the mayhem to continue, as Georgia Thomas and "The Monitor" clashed horribly, leaving the ball wide open for a Thrszti blitz. Tribute players rushed back to form a defense, and Bruce Willis ably scooped up the ball. In a desperate display of bloodbowl magic, Bearded D managed to slip away from his skink marker, and slammed into Willis, sending him from the pitch, and leaving the ball tantalisingly in reach of 'Big Apple' BX, who jumped up, dodged as only a skink can, scooped up the ball and scampered over the line with seconds to spare.

OT

With everything now to play for, both teams set up one final time, with Still Thrszti receiving. The Tribute lads were now really fired up, however, and despite their best attempts, the ever dwindling numbers of Thrszti players on the field couldn't keep the Ally McBeal machine from marching in and stealing the ball. 3-2 to the McBeal crew, and a well deserved win.

In the end, it was a wonderfully crowd pleasing display from both teams, and as I said at the start, one of the more enjoyable matches I've played in a long time.
Kudos, PhoenixxX, and good luck!
Next time ;)
