“WIL Season XIX - Game 7

The final round of the season and it's a battle for 2nd place! We've hired the count making us the favorites...

We receive the kick and watch happily as an undead fan hurls a rock at their Claw/RSC beasty... but it's only a stun! T3 and we manage to DP foul him to DEATH but the apo saves!

He blitzes over the count on T4 but fortunately doesn't hurt him, though they do steal on the ball on their next turn and make a good run into our half. The count breaks back and we knock the ball free, but again they manage to steal it! Finally on T7 bad blocking dice gives us an early turnover and we can string together a pass from the count to a +AGI ghoul to make it 1-0!

4/5 of their KOs wake up so they have 11 again for the 2nd half, but crucially the last one in the KO box is the Claw/RSC beast. \o/

They start extremely well, clearing out the LOS on T1 (MNG, KILL and KO) and rush the ball into our half, screening with their player advantage. The count shows his star power on T3 when he makes a few -1 dodges to blitz the ball free, but they easily recover and using their last RR make it 1-1 on T5!

We have 4 turns left to try and win it, and their RSC is still in the KO box as they set up 10 vs our 11. Dogged defending despite being out of rerolls gives them a chance of securing the draw as on T6 they dodge and POW blitz our ball carrier. The count steals it back and on T8 hands it off to a +AGI ghoul in one tackle zone who then dodges away to secure the win!
