“SOUPA semi-finals: The Orcs and Necromantic teams hooked up for a big match up to see who would meet the Comic Book Villians in the final. The Krew began the game on offense, and it had the makings of a clean finish for them, scoring quite quickly in the first half as Janet Orr swept her way into the endzone. Tubthumping lived up to their bruising reputation, pounding their way back upfield, but an ill timed trip at the endzone allowed the Krew to scramble and cover the ball up until the half ran out.
The second half saw the Orcs go right back to their old tricks to start, knocking a pathway towards the endzone. Da Rock was able to get off a pass to Thumping in the endzone just as the pocket was collapsing around him and the score evened up. With time winding down, the Krew knew they had to make a quick go of it, and zipped downfield as quickly as they could. In the end, it was left to Vin Dex, who made an amazing play to fight his way through a group of three orcs who had him surrounded, then dodging past their outstretched hands to get into the endzone just as the time ran out!

I'd like to thank my opponent for an incredibly hard fought match that really could have gone either way. It's being a part of games like this (and spectating a few), that made this little trial league a very worthwhile project.”
