Well, spectators today will never decide. Most probably it was a combination of both that lead to the fact that the "Treehugging Company" could win today.
Receiving the Kick-Off at the beginning of the match they scored very quickly and it was clear that it would be difficult to defend for nearly a whole half.
After all they have done a fine job, but still by the end of the half "Jaqen H'gar", the Chaos Warrior of the "Brave Companions" was able to reach the end zone.
Then at the beginning of the second half, with the Chaos in offense and the Elves being outnumbered a little, everything seemed to have been decided.
And in fact, the Chaos possy rolled towards the end zone from minute to minute. Not too fast, but also not sleeping.
The defense was waiting for a long time before trying to hit but being pushed back very far they started giving tackle zones and desperate blitzes. However they worked and suddenly the Chaos players faced a situation where all players were bound except the sole ball carrier who could not reach the end zone in time because he had to take care of the ice on the pitch.
Still the situation looked quite badly for the elves; even with a good hit it would be a long way to the other side and with the snow storm it was clear that the ball would stay near the end zone and that the "Brave Companions" would score sooner or later.
However; they did not have any chance than trying. ........A dodge, a blitz and....POW......the ball carrier was brought down in the end zone.
Surprised and stunned the Chaos team experienced now a chain of events that would lead to their defeat. The ball scattered to the fans who threw it in along the pitch to another crowd just waiting for it. They, again made the thing fly in the Chaos team's undefended half, where two wood elves were waiting.
They grabbed and secured the ball for some time before scoring until they got under pressure. With just little time on the clock it was difficult for the opponent to success in a counter attack, so the end score was 2-1 for the "Company". Today they definately were in Nuffle's favour. But this could be different during the next match; so let us enjoy this success even if it was lucky.
