#12 Camembert Beaver – Broken Ribs (MNG)
The Cheese Movers were back after a 15 game hiatus, trying to erase the memory of the drubbing they took at the hands of some lucky wood elves. Stad had a vampire team that had about the same length hiatus, so we dusted em off and threw em on the pitch. This was my first game against vamps in a while, probably 2 releases ago at least. I was glad to see a lot of the blood lust issues have been fixed, though the stand up and end turn bug is still alive and well. Stad was a good sport about all the failed blood lusts, burning through his rerolls like crazy. Pro served him well on his 1 vamp with it. I prevented the score in the 1st half, but couldn't counter score. I received in the 2nd half and Squirrel fumbled the pass! Vamps got it and the Cheesers had to really scramble to get it back. Was finally able to get the ball in a safe spot, but Stad played really well and kept the pressure up. He was just running out of Thralls (and I was helping remove them). I scored with enough time for either team to score again. I was able to capitalize on a turnover and got the ball. Then I did the boring thing: I stalled out, fouling his lone thrall and playing catch with 2 GRs to keep his 5 players in the KO box for as long as possible. Stad contributed at least 2 more vamps from failed Bloodlusts or Dodges that resulted in KOs. He also had a vamp thrown out for fouling in retaliation, but I think that vamp just wanted to go feed in the stands anyway.

Thanks for a fun bounceback game, Stad. You were a good sport about the dice, and I think with a few more thralls and a few more rerolls, your team is gonna be tough to beat. I really felt like I was on my heels most of the game, and it could have easily been a 1-1 tie.

Skills (1):
Roquefort Rat - (2 2) Claw. I really thought about some other choices, including Dodge, Horns and Jump Up. But rats don't have a lot of hitting power, and they have to roll doubles to access mutations anyway. So being his first skill, decided to just go the boring safe route and make everyone he hits a gimped halfling :)
