Down over 300 TV, I was a bit worried about getting run off the pitch...great dice in the first half changed things - my decision not to score at the end of the half was a tough one - still not sure what I would do if I could do it again. If I scored, I would give up 1 round of blocking on T8 - and with claw/mb/po - that was going to hurt...and then 2 rounds of KO wakeups. I would have the 1-0 lead, but probably be down players for the second half. Instead I was hoping for poorer KO wakeups - then I would have the advantage and try to play for the 1-0 win.

I certainly was heavily focused on protecting my players and removing the many threats that the chaos had. Ultimately, not scoring at the half was probably the right choice if I had played better in the second half - but too many mistakes - like not apoth'ing the BH on my bull centaur (I had 2 apoths - so no reason for not to)...those mistakes cost me and ended up with a draw.

Overall, considering the carnage that Chuck vs BloodBowl can dish out - and the difference in TV, I will have to be content with a draw and no damage to my team. Look forward to the rematch.

Oh - and I pity the team that played Chuck next...only 1820 TV after our game...but still has some nasty players!

Azure received and removed three players from the pitch in the first turn (2 kills), pretty much ending the half then and there. At the end of the half, I had three dead players and one lying prone on the pitch. Because I had so many KOs, Azure decided not to score in order to only give me chance at the KO rolls, counting on his ability to defend and win 1-0.

Luckily, I went 3-2 on the KO rolls, which gave me 9 players to start the second half. If I could knock out a few of his players on the first turn, I figured I would have a fighting chance in the second half. However, Azure got perfect defense on the kick-off, guard-locking me on the LOS and putting me in a world of trouble. Nevertheless, I secured the ball and managed to send Ellie on a breakaway on turn 2 because Azure was a little too focused on fouling my players. After stalling a few turns, I scored on turn 5, leaving the CDs 4 turns to try and win the game.

In the end, the win didn't happen as I managed to stop his two-turner. I had a few chances to punt the ball deep but failed the last rolls needed to do this. It all came down to the last turn, where Azure needed to make some (fairly simple) rolls to score the equalizer. He got the TD, but I still felt I was lucky to get away with a tie after the first half.
