Sixth-round game (best of 16) in FUMBBL Cup X and the fifth actual game for chaos, sixth for underworld.

I started the game on offense, but didn't manage to get any players off the pitch to start the game. Tyridium used his wizard early on turn 2, stole the ball, and managed to hang on to it when I got two double skulls on turn 3. Things didn't look great for me at this point, but luck changed quickly. Morgan took out Tyridium's clawbomb blitzer on turn 4 (-MA, apo didn't help), and on turn 5 I got three casualties and pried the ball loose. This still left the underworld in a good position to score, but they had bad blocking dice and couldn't clear Anna away from the ball. I now had three turns to score, which was quite doable with a MA 8, AG 4 player, even though I was forced to take extra GFIs due to bad player positioning. As icing on the cake, Jill took out the underworld troll on turn 7 (MNG), and the apo didn't help once again.

Thanks to the deep bench of the underworld, the second half started with 11 players against 11. However, both of the underworld clawbombers were out, giving the chaos a distinct advantage. Tyridium played a solid drive and got to a scoring position in turn 4, but stalling was out of the question at that point with the underworld down to 8 players. This left me with 5 turns to get the winning TD, while starting my drive up one player (10 vs. 9). After the first round of blocks it was 10 vs. 6, and the underworld just couldn't come back from such a disadvantage. Chuck scored the winning TD on the last turn when just 3 underworld players remained on the pitch.

I had had a long BB break before this game (over three weeks) and it really showed in my play. However, I got excellent injury dice which turned the game around. It was particularly lucky to get both of Tyridium's clawbombers out quickly, especially when apo and regen were of no help.
