#6 Vince Scott II – Dead (RIP)
Yet again, SirAble looked across the pitch to see a chainsaw... and none other than Lord Borak the Despoiler. Where did those fiends come from!

The Pact lost the toss, and prepared to take the oncoming assault.... which didn't materialize. A few Hamilton players looked dazed, but otherwise all was well. Pact players then set about bashing at things, but still remained leery of the chainsaw. Winnipeg players were seen trying to lay boots into defenseless Tigerpact players, but the ref put an end to that nonsense rather quickly. After a rather brief scrum in the middle, Zambiasi blitzed the ball free... and Dieter was there to collect the ball. We then got Spleenripper carted off the field and set about bashing the Winnipeger for all our might.

despite the score, Winnipeg was still able to set up 10 players in the second half. The start of the second half was epically bad for the Pact, and apparently one of the insults slung by a Hamilton player pissed off the ClawBombers... because the issuing mayhem was ... mayhem! Polar Dragon skillfully directed the Winnipeg team from the sidelines, knocking Dieter over and managing to pinch the ball. In the end it was Dieter and Ben who once again managed to get back, blitz the ball free, and take it back the other way. Ensuring victory.

The Winnipeg team acquitted themselves quite well, and it was a wild second half... Thanks PD!!

Stars: Big Ben - 2 cas and clutch blitzes on the ball. instrumental in both TDs
Dieter Brock - only 1 TD, but was able to hop around TZs to pick up the ball at will, also instrumental in both TDs.

#2 Brendon LaBatte – Broken Neck (-AG)
#3 Odell Willis – Damaged Back (NI)
#11 Kito Poblah – Smashed Knee (NI)
Winnipeg came prepared for a fight and they got one.

Spleenripper and Lord Borak, were induced on the promise of blood and notoriety if the rookie underdogs could achieve the upset win.

It started well for Winnipeg, no blitz, no backfield follies on pickup, but the early hits did not result in removing Hamilton players from the pitch. The chainsaw was singularly ineffective and Winnipeg short manned themselves thanks to an overzealous referee.

It went sideways from there, Hamilton cleared a path to the ball carrier, Big Ben did what he does and Dieter ran the ball out of reach. Winnipeg over sharpened their fouling cleats because not one Bomber succeed a single GFI in the entire half including key blitzes on the ball carrier.

On the line of scrimmage Winnipeg was mashed into a tight group where their lack of guard had them fighting just for survival. Thankfully the half ended before more Bombers were sent off the pitch permanently.

The start of the second half looked more like the game plan. This time the bombers cleared a path to the ball carrier and Walby lay the hit on Dieter. Kito dodged into tackle zones for the recovery, but was unable to pickup the ball. He paid the price when Ben Zambiasi smashed his knee the following play.

Milt got hands on the ball when Dieter failed a dodge, but once again Ben brought him down. Both Milt and Kito were within sight of the Hamilton goal line, but Dieter collected the ball and Hamilton rallied to tie up the shorthanded Winnipeg side. Dieter was pursued but never downed, and overcame his own animosity to pass the ball for the 2-0 score.

Hamilton is a team that has it all, strength, hitting, speed and handling. SirA has all the tools and the skill to make your first mistake costly. Perhaps it was hubris that the Bombers had hoped for a win or to squeak out a tie...but that is how Bloodbowl is played Fear and Ignorance .. er ... Arrogance.
