“A challenging game against a well organised High Elf team. First half Wreckage did good work on positioning as the Angels did well on blocking and had an effective loose cage that enabled them to get a turn 8 td. They caused a few kos on the way but nothing too serious while suffering a couple themselves. Our blitzing attempt in turn 7 failed on the dodge unfortuantely. But turn 8 the now faster Skeetz Nool got my first ever td from a non-natural one turner! It actually only needed one blitz for him then to sidestep into scoring range and then he just managed to dodge and gfi through to score with dodge and team reroll helping out. Meanwhile I was reminded by Throatripper why we gave up on Rat Ogres before, rather unreliable..
Second half we scored in turn 3. The Elves had done a good kick but I left the GR within catcher blitzing range, fortunately the gfi failed. On their return drive the Elves did incredible damage. Exceptional rolls and by turn 4 we already had no chance. We did have 3 cracks at blitzing the carrier during the half with our wrestle GRs but alas each time either the dodge or skulls brought failure. Anyway in the end a 2-2 draw, not bad.”
