A titannic match with all the expected bloodshed and then some. Crushers received and began clearing the pitch right away, KOing numerous Nurgle players. By the time they scored near the end of the half, Schlumpen looked pretty well decimated.

But outstanding KO rolls brought them back for their first reception, and Vezi Lumina splooshed Megur the Morbid so badly the apo just shrugged. Combined with another Crusher KO the teams were even to start the second.

The second half looked to be the opposite of the first, with Schlumpen quickly getting the upper hand in the player count. Two men down and still facing a wizard, the Crushers appeared to be in a dire spot until Bucaresti KO'd himself on a double skull block vs. Fatechange Windmaster. Then the ref finally ejected the Rotter dp, while Sturg Stinkfur really started laying the boot for the Crushers, cas'ing multiple Nurgle players as the match progressed. Fortunately for them, their regen had been pumped to hyper efficieny, going 5/5 thru the match.

Ultimately however, the Nurgle team began running low on players and got desperate to advance the ball, bringing the carrier within blitz range of Sesslith who flattened the runner and scooped up the ball. Although the wizard laid him low, it wasn't enough to prevent the Crusher tide from rolling over the remaining Schlumpen for the 2-0 victory.”
