#5 Sunday Morning II – Serious Concussion (-AV)
Rats vs rats. Not a usual matchup in the box and, frankly, I have no idea how to play this match :). They've got more muscle though and a clawpomber. If they get the cas dice right it might win them the game.

We win the coin and decide to kick first. They cage the ball on a gutter runner, but I'm able to leap in there and get him down. He even gets seriously injured! I fumble the pickup though and they're able to recover on their T2. They get some bad luck and roll doubleskulls, even seriously injuring a linerat there. This allows me to get the ball up, but they are easily able to blitz me down. It's my turn to roll doubleskulls on my next turn and they get room to manouver around. They score on their turn 7. My attempts to score on my two remaining turns fail on a good defense by srjuanone and doubleskulls :).

2nd half starts and we're down 0-1. We fail a pass, but they fail a block next turn causing a turnover. We're able to score on our turn 2 and it's 1-1. We get a shallow kick and they make a loose cage midfield. We're able to strip the ball from the ballcarrier and grab it with AG5. They blitz my rat down, and the ball bounces on one of their gutter runners. We get him down on our T4, but again the ball bounces back into the hands of one of their gutter runners, grr! By turn 6 it seems they have the game in the pocket, but one of their blitzers falls trying to dodge and makes a crucial turnover. We're able to steal the ball and pass/run it all the way across the field to their half. They manage to dodge and make throw one last blitz on my ballcarrying gutter runner, but as a final insult, they roll double skulls. I score on my turn 8. They have a turn left to oneturn, oh oh oh but ref calls a riot and winds the clock back to turn 7 :). So they have 2 turns. I can't hold their gutter runners as I had setup my players thinking there'll be only one turn and they get the score on their final turn. Game ends 2-2.

This was a game full of excitement as with skaven, there's never a safe spot on the field. Both teams had to be very careful and as there were a lot of double 1s and skulls in the game, there were a lot of unexpected twists. A well played game and a fun experience playing rats vs rats.
