Ramma Elf double skulls twice on first turn. This allows Dollhouse to steal the ball and after some back and forth score the defensive TD. This was really the game here. Many tense moments throughout the game - however, this early defensive TD we were able to barely barely keep to hold up for the win.
Ramma Elf scored on their second possession to tie it. Then we scored back to make it 2-1. Then with 2 turns, they moved forward, we used wizard and stole ball, but then failed to turn that into another score. Ramma Elf capitalized and scored to make it 2-2 with 1 turn left. Now we got the dice - with a riot and an awkward score on T8 (it was not pretty!). Making it 3-2 at the half.
Second half, we drove down and scored to make it 4-2 - managing to burn a little clock. We put pressure on the Ramma Elf, but they tossed caution to the wind and dodged through and past our team to make it a two-turn score. It was 4-3 now and we pushed forward to score - but failed to break armor when fouling the leaping stripballer - so he leaped and stripped the ball :) We ultimately got the bounce we needed and took the ball to the goal line - but failed gfi...did not risk the 1in6 of failure for the last gfi. However, Ramma Elf was not done - managed the long blitz and the ball was free - but stayed inbounds. We double skulled our first block to burn our RR - and then failed our attempt to grab the ball on T16. Ramma Elf had one last chance, but just came up 2 rolls short of another amazing play.
Overall, it was quite fun to play a close matched game that went down to the wire. Well played and see you next time!”
