#17 Robert Quickhawk – Dead (RIP)
There are those games where you simply get run over by a truck and all your players get the snot kicked out of them and it's all you can do to try to field a half dozen beaten down troopers in a vain effort to staunch the flow of blood.

This was not one of those games.

This was a game where it seemed that whatever the elfs wanted to do, they were able to do. Indeed, only a couple failed dodges took any players off the pitch, and for as many shots as the lizards threw at the elves, they were simply unable to land any kind of lasting damage. Other than to some scrub we pulled out of the stands to take shots from the Krox...

Hope shone briefly for the lizards when a saurus managed to snag a poorly thrown pass, but he pressed his luck in the rain and slipped trying to get in position to assist. Of course, the elfs didn't make another mistake after that, and the lizards were forced to settle for consolation blocks on random players.

Kudos to mmouse for hanging in there, this could not have been a fun match to be on the losing end of. When elfs refuse to roll 1s it's just incredibly frustrating to suffer through, especially if your blocks are not landing.

Well if you ever want to see a near perfect match look no further than the Elf's of Finestra.

The game started bad for the Lizardmen and it was not long before the void between the two teams became obvious (and the different dice results too).

Without moaning on about the other team, not needing a reroll until turn 14 or the fact that my Saurus failed to break through any wood, the woods had a great team and a great manager.

Well bad luck doesn't last for ever and after the Woodies 4th TD (without response) revenge was taken and Sulky managed to stomp all over a lonely loner and send him off to the great orchard in the sky.

My opponents certainly deserved the win and some of the plays where beautiful to watch (if somewhat sole destroying).

Highlight of the match for me was the Saurus intercept...only to fail a 2+ move and of course as it was turn 5 I had already used by 4 rerolls.....

What a match! One for the woods but revenge will be mine!
