“This game seemed to go the route of your standard nuffling, with the Squirrells benefiting heavily from a T1 blitz, until the Mini Leaguers suddenly found their killing groove and started laying down the hurt. Ultimately, we won the game thanks to the Nurglings' inability to pick up the ball for four turns, but the cost was far too high. Not sure how we'll recover from this!”

“In the pre-match sequence, the $150k in inducement money made Lorebass seem like a rather useful option, against a mobile (enough) team like the Forest Goblins. That was, unfortunately, when the blitz against occured, meaning I had to move backwards to do some 'damage control'. The idea was to block my Beast free, only to see a Skull/Block-Pow with a failed Loner roll result in a -MA on Lorebass. Short to say, things looked very grim. Very grim.
That was indeed until somewhere around turn five/ six of the first half, when the first of the casualties had begun to make their count. If that wasn't bad enough, the tally certainly started to hit home during the second half. With a numerical advantage, I hoped to be able to drag a draw out of the game. Unfortunately, five turns of attempt to pick up a ball (burning two team re-rolls in the process) meant the Forest Goblins won the game.
Kudos to TheSyron for sitting the painful beating out. The Mini Leaguers will gladly accept any (grudge re-)match in the future. ;-)”
