“The warriors of the north battled against the Knights of Pestilence with all they had, putting them down only to see them rise up again and again. Nevertheless, they dug in near the goal line, keeping the Knights out of the endzone and ending the half scoreless. In the 2nd half they started evening the numbers, only to call on the medicine woman to save Buliwyf from a dirty trick. Weath tucked the ball in and made a dash for the endzone, with a Beast and Rotters on his heals. Then the fates denied us a reroll (I clicked 'yes', the client interpreted it as 'no') and all hope seemed lost. The Journeyman came to the rescue, along with Rethel, and suddenly the Beast became confused. Weath shook off his stun, blitzed some riff-raff away from the ball, escaped from the slimy tentacles (well, he followed up the blitz so no roll was needed), dodged some more scum, scooped up the ball and dashed for the endzone. With little time remaining, the Knights tried get into scoring range, but the Beast betrayed them with a 3die Skull-Skull/Pow-Skull/Pow. The warriors of Valhalla bashed some nurgle faces in, but it was Exterminatus who had the last laugh as he snuffed out the life of the always dangerous Rethel the Archer.

We will miss Rethel tonight. We will miss his bow.

{Update: This game is the only one in the first 7 where the Thirteen won the FAME roll. It has mattered since we have lost a lot of free rerolls, and been hit by at least 2 rocks in those 7 games)”
