“The weary warriors of Valhalla were just looking for a village to rest and recover in. They were without the services of Buliwyf and were still mourning the loss of Helfdane. The men of the village fancied a chance to take on the vikings in some friendly Blood Bowl, and wanted to try out some new magic items that a wandering sorcerer had sold them. They even offered to loan a few of their own to help fill out the Valhalla roster, so the weary warriors accepted the challenge. It was a good, hard-fought struggle but the experience of the battle-hardened northmen won out over the magic tricks of the merchant men. The Codpiece and the Inertia Damper did their job well, but the hapless Catcher who was wearing the Bracers really never got a chance to shine (I think the Side Step was used once, but not the Hypno Gaze).

There was finally some good news for the northmen on the injury front (besides the fact that they didn't suffer any this game.) It turns out that one of the villagers was Ragnar the Dour, returned from Valhalla. The Einherjar rejoins his team mates for more travels and glory seeking. After the game, Buliwyf was feeling better and announced that Helfdane would also be returning from Valhalla for the next game as an Einherjar. And for the first time since the team's first game (11 games ago), we have a FULL ROSTER of 11! No journeyman for the Valhalla Thirteen next game. \o/ Some day, they hope to actually have 13 on the roster, but today is not that day.
