“A great and very close second round RRR game.

The game really turned on a couple of turns in the second half where, after running out of re-rolls, I failed actions very early into my turns. There wasn't a lot I could do about this - being marked by dwarves isn't fun for elves and if you fail your first dodge then they all get hit again. Overtime was a bit of a kick in the teeth when 0 of 4 KOs recovered and I lost the toss, but I think at this point the dwarves were always likely to win it anyway.

In truth, I feel I played the first half defense brilliantly, and the second half poorly. I scored far too early, maybe irrationally fearing getting boxed in my the dwarves. I still had chances, popped the ball and but for dice could have made something of it.

Rabe for his part played his dwarves well. He failed to break down my defense in the first half but marshaled it better in the second. His dice were strange because while succeeding all ball-related actions and POWing all over the place, he never managed a single CAS in what must have been 40ish knock downs. Had his bash been more successful then he'd probably have found it easier also.

I'll put this one down to learning and my constant blood bowl evolution. Similarly to my Pact [L] team I'm getting good at defense but struggling to time my attacking.
