This may have been the greatest test the Valhalla Thirteen had faced up to this point. With elimination on the line and two warriors missing, including Halga the Wise, the Thirteen were outnumbered and facing a stronger team without the benefit of any inducements. But the fates were not with Ice Pops today and the misfortune started early. Their only foul resulted in Terry's ejection, while our answering foul sent Grancho to an early post-game feast in Valhalla. A series of miscues by coach Throweck (by his own admission) led to a turnover and a T8 score. The second half continued to shine fortune on the Thirteen and misfortune on the Pops. They never gave up and kept up the pressue, especially when the first kick off landed in Buliwyf's unsuspecting paws. Nevertheless, the Thirteen stuck to their game plan and were rewarded with two more TDs. We will share a horn of mead and a flagon of ale with the mighty Ice Pops and salute their fallen brother, Grancho.
