We Mostly Win the Toss and elect to kick. The Pro Elves run a feint south but they seem to have no real intention of scoring early. A lighthearted slapping fight ensues, as neither side is able to land any real blows.

As turns dwindle coach pizzamogul is setup well: up two elves with a safe cage and several scoring threats positioned. In a rather passive-aggressive protest, last elf to move Dietrich trips a dodge and even though coach has rerolls to burn Dietrich is pissed about not having a real player portrait and insists on going down. Not baited into an early score by the unmarked lino left the turn before, coachmogul decides to wait until T8 to work his magic, but a failed catcher dodge leaves his position somewhat more dicey than expected. Coach grue is anything but happy when he realizes that he left a 2d blitz out for the catcher but dice strike and it becomes clear as the "pros" go 0/3 on KO rolls that there is no magic for voters tonight. 0-0 at the half.

But wait! The elves have a wiz, and after Hudson mounts his own passive-aggressive protest by spiking the ball rather than picking it up there is a gleam of hope! And as quickly as it shone threw the clouds it's dashed again as Ricardo Flores Magón dodges in for the pickup but fumbles the pass.

Coach pizzamogul's elves continue to take a beating as he bides his time and holds the wizard ready for a perfectly executed bolt and blitz on turn 5. The game's not over yet! Dark Elves everywhere breath a sigh of relief as Bishop RR a pair of both downs on the wily, sidestepping Giuseppe Mazzini and lands a blow that will sit him out the rest of the game. Even then, coach pizzamogul sees a weakness and dodges in for the 1d that could send the ball bouncing into the stands but comes up short (and Jean Sylvain Bailly comes down with a case of "hurts badly"). Hudson recovers for the game winning TD.
