“Classic Bashfest Grind.

A brutally earned tie.

Perhaps the start of a new CFFL rivalry.

Winnipeg won the toss and elected to receive so they could lay the hurt down early. Brendan Dunn started the party by BH a Grusome wight named Gutovert - but he got better.

The Claw Bombers advanced to mid-field and Dunn killed a High Priest mummy named Smakhyare - but he got better.

The grind continued up field with Zach Anderson BH another skeleton - who didn't get better and the one-eyed myopic Ref failed to notice a chainsaw wielding madman fouling Bombers off the pitch.

Riverdale made a gallant goal line stand that dropped the Winnipeg ball carrier J.D. Griggs to the ground. Marcellus Bowman took matters into his own hands and fed the maniac his own chainsaw - he did not get better.

Griggs shook off the hit, recovered the ball and hit rookie Terris Pliwoda blizting into the endzone with a 7 yard pass for the TD as the whistle blew to end the first half.

The undead horde of Greyskins were all back for the second half and apparently the Bombers had riled them up somewhat. In a howling blizzard King Neferfelablok BH Terriss Paliwoda for the indignity of scoring a TD, and Gutovert smashed Graig Newman's hand 'just because'.

Riverdale found the ball and advanced to center field, smashing and fouling Bombers off the pitch along the way. Neferfelablok attempted to 'recruit' Akeem Foster but the Winnipeg Ownership Cabal yanked his un-recesitaded free agent contract with a timely apothecary save.

Zach Anderson killed another zombie and Brendan Dunn pulverized another skeleton, but they could not stem the undead tide. Nefafelablok smashed warrior Marcellus Bowman off the pitch and ghoul Rod Rotterdale ran into the endzone for the tie as time expired.

Bomber superstar warrior Brendan Dunn was the heart of the Winnipeg team this game, his 3 CAS was only matched by the ferocity of Greyskin's King Neferfelablok's first game.
