“KO's were the theme of the day for this game.

1st half, The elves ran into a string of bad luck dodging/gfi's. The shortened turns let me get to the ball carrier and grab the ball. Meanwhile, the elven KO box was filling up fast. By the time Yellow Scored on turn 8, there were 5 KO'd elves, 2 BH elves (including Jeff Lebowski, the Agility 5 dodging/leaping blitzer) and one thrown out. Despite the ample beer supply for the game, 2 of the 5 Elves did not recover, so they were way down men for the 2nd half, as I just had one player thrown out of the game.

2nd half, The elves continued to leave the pitch via KO's--no more casualties, but by the time I scored on turn 8, there were 10 elves out of the game--7 of them KO's. This time, the beer supply did not fail, and all 7 recovered for the last turn attempt. Needing pushes to set up the OTTD attempt, they only got push/pow or POWs even on a rr, so that attempt failed right off the bat.
