“Lustrian Challenge VIII Qualifier V - Round 2

Following the tense victory over happygrue's mighty dark elves, it was slippy side stepping orcs blocking the path for Pig Sty Alley.

The plan was deviously simple. Claw them down and foul them out! Fast forward a few turns and an injured wight later and the plan was not working out so well. Fortunately the foul part kicked in as a side stepping black orc got taken out the game.

Prior to the match, a new golem was hired at the expense of an injured but skilled one. It proved to be a good acquisition as Bone held up 2 black orcs out on the opposite flank and Landlady ran up the side as one of them got back into play. I was made to sweat on the longshot surf but the blitz couldn't bypass skulls, the legend wight scoring the opener.

When there's a monkey on the pitch, there's always hope! The little bugger had survived a few hits including one from Landlady, but the crowd was delighted as the troll couldn't lift the creature up past his mouth without gobbling it down on a triple 1. Laughter consumed all in the highlight of the match.

It was the orc drive up next and they came for a fight. First the strong frenzy blitzer - who was knocked out by a foul, kept on the pitch with smelling salts, then knocked out again by another foul - closely followed by the tackling pomber who killed the 14th Palm. That pesky pomber must be related to the ref as, after ignoring the first 5 fouls, he gave 2 zombies marching orders. Still, he was kept out the play as the wizard zapped the super star orc thrower and Landlady mopped up. Whilst a black orc could dodge for the blitz, there was no pow and no disastrous dice as Landlady ran to safety to seal the victory.

Round 3 and the notorious vampires Nuffle Can Suck It. The plan? Claw them down and foul them out, of course! Deviously simple. ;)”
