    1. OWCC Season 8, Game 3 (of 5)

Post-holidaze game, and with lots of losses and ties scattered across the Conference so far, both Teams wanted the win to stay near the top of the leader board.

The ExPats chose to receive, and a Pitch Invasion stunned all 4 of the Pillars' players on one side of the field plus a TG far on the other, throwing that side wide open. Turn 3 the Khemri lost a Thro-Ra Surfed into Reserves and their DP-Kicker banned, and never recovered position. The Lizards even had opportunity to try to get the ball to a rookie Saurus a few times - but, with no RR remaining and the threat of a Wizard on their minds, chose to score with an Ag 4 pickup Turn 7.

The Turn 7 Kick saw the opening Khemri Block roll Skulls followed by their Turn 8 opening Block roll Skulls, half ends 1-0.

Second half, no casualties (beyond the banned DP), but the bad Khemri blocking dice weren't done yet - an early TG double-Both-Down was RR'd to Pow, followed by another TG double-Both-Down before most players had been moved, giving the Expats the equivalent of a Blitz! They made the most of it, with a 1D Blitz to push the St 6 TG aside and dodge thru the gap, marking all Khemri near the ball (tho' many with Skinks) to end Turn 1. The Khemri found enough Pows at the right times to recover the ball with their blodgestepper Thro-Ra, but could not fall back to screen effectively, and a Frenzy found a Pow, and an Ag 4 Stunty dodged thru to recover. The Wizard was called upon the zap the ballcarrier into Stun-land, but then their JU-MB blitzer -AV'd himself, but regened. By the end of Turn 3, a rookie Skink made a 3+ pickup, the rest of the team screened, and the stall was on. Turn 5 the Blodgestepper made an amazing escape from DT by rolling a "6" to blitz the ball, but the GFI took the RR, and could only Push. Both sides were out of RR, but the Expats found "not 1's" when they needed them, while the Pillars were haunted by more Skulls and Both-Downs - and that was the game, 2-0.
