“The first half of this match went as expected: elf keep away, and the orcs attempting to get in the way and stop them from scoring. Pretty standard.
During halftime, a troop of goblins snuck into our locker room and made of with some spare kits, and while the Black Orc Blockers returned to the field, the rest of the team had been secretly replaced by goblins, standing on top of one another, wearing these stolen uniforms. Everything fell apart the second half. Once you're down 2-0 to elves the match is already over, and we just starting attempting riskier play, trying to make anything work, as we cheered on the elves as they made mincemeat out of us. Coach happygrue was fun to chat with, and is a capable opponent.
However, this match added to some frustration which would explode over in a future match and result in a self imposed exile from Fumbbl for some time, in order to regain the perspective needed to recall that this is a game we play for fun. If you're not enjoying the gave even when you're losing, you need some time away.”
“I've had to do the same before! Tough match sir, and come back when you're ready. The game really does look fresh after you've stepped back for some time.”
