“GLT XI: High TV Qualifiers 2 round 1

A tense, tactical, violent game that favored the Founding Fathers in the end. Both teams played much better defense than offense, and although the final CAS count favored More Big Hats, at least two and possibly 3 of those CAS came in the final two turns when the ball was secured and the game was already decided. Two back-to-back turns in OT of failed rolls (skulls, and failed pickup) doomed the Big Hats and gave the Founding Fathers the opening they had been waiting all game for. I did make some mistakes late in the game that could have cost me big time, but none of the perms were a result of those mistakes. Saving my apothecary for OT paid off as I changed a KO to a Stun on J. 'The Gavel Jay', aka Mr. Diving Tackle. The card, Illegal Substitution, never came into play as the only time I had a bench was the 1st half and it wouldn't have affected the game. A Bloodweiser Babe would have been useful at the start of the 2nd half when Madison didn't come back on the first try. But since he came back for OT I'm not sure it would have changed anything in the 2nd half. I still think the card was the right call as there are some good ones that could have helped.

On to the 2nd round for the Fathers, against some mean looking Necros with a pair of pimped out wolves. This is going to be another tough contest for the Founding Fathers, but they are up for the challenge.
