#7 Grolsch – Broken Neck (-AG)
Fun Online Dutch Open match that started in a heavy downpour of rain. The Basturds opted to kick, and Proost! gladly lined up the Deathroller to squash some lads! Despite the rain, Captain Beerbelly focused on the ball and picked it up without hesitation. Cheery Chip did his Deathroller thing, shoving humans around and knocking them flat. After a few turns of back and forth, the humans had seriously swarmed the ball, and Beerbelly needed to take a decisive and risky action - running towards the end zone! All alone, outpacing both humans and dwarfs, Beerbelly stood by the end zone running down the clock. The humans caught up first, but Beerbelly held firm, knocking down the first blitz against him. The dwarven backup eventually surrounded the human pursuers, and the touchdown was assured.

The dumb ref threw out Cheery Chip! The fans hated this move, but rules are rules - apparently steam powered man-smashers are not welcome in the Dutch Open!

Basturds received the kick as the sun shone brightly through the clouds, drying off the pitch quickly and making it hard to see. This might be a challenge for a team that is built for the passing game! The dwarfs did their dwarven thing, setting up an impervious line of defense that wouldn't budge. Basturds Coach DarkOrk went for a handoff play to Andy the Receiver who didn't happen to be standing near a dwarf. Andy made a break for the end zone, hoping to tie the game early in the 2nd half. He just needed to stretch... (and then stretch a bit more...)

SPLAT! Andy crashed to the pitch, tripping over his own feet. Captain Beerbelly moved swiftly the retrieve the ball, handing it to 'Choo Choo' Chugworth. As the clock ticked on, Chugworth backed up behind the front lines, confident his blockers could hold off the human attack until time expired.

Chugworth's confidence was well-placed, and the humans never recovered the ball from him. A cheeky foul on the Big Basturd closed out the match, letting everybody in the stands know that Proost! are terrible sportsmen.

FINAL: Proost! wins 1-0

Thanks for the match, DarkOrk. Good luck in the rest of the Online Dutch Open!
