They delayed the first half TD, hoping to wear down the wee ones chasing them, sent no small number into the crowd (who harmed not a hair on their stunty heads). Perhaps not the best idea with such a light team, but I suppose they so rarely have the chance at such things. Leaf and Clive got the pressure on them, mobile as you like. They scored eventually, and it was all we could do to tie up the ball against the sidelines to go 1 down into the break. That and a good deal of kicking!

Second half, we couldn't pick up the ball again, this time they nicked it and in strait away, their numbers wearing down faster than ours with a big bench at hand. Miffing Deef flew over their heads next time, ball in hand, scored a beauty, that lad will catch up to his namesake's record in no time, you'll see.

But with their receive again, their agile Gutter Runners had it over us easily, despite Luckier getting his neat landing in traffic, the perfect blitz, he only shuffled the ball to their speed demon Roquefort. The crowd saw him safely home, good lad. Roll D'Ankle so nearly pulled off a perfect pass hounded deep from the kick off, but Stunned Trout couldn't hold it, and they easily ran half the field and back again in no time flat to score at the death.

In future, the only thing that worked should be recalled, six lads crowding the ball at the sideline. Yes, half of them ended up in the crowd, but it did stop them scoring on us for a few turns, and let Leif and Clive stay active. Concentration of force, that's the thing, that and smashing them!”
