“Finally the administration has seen sense. A little bribery would be allowed over the match officials, and a large Bribery over the opposition's marauders. Ha!

With more giants than us, Bribery and Corruption were held back a touch, Intimidation and Extortion tried in light of the potential for forgiveness. They fumbled the ball early, getting fancy with it, but Intimidation was useless against them and Nepotism saw no time to leap for it in their layered cage defence. Extortion was untouchable, but the crowd took him in immediately afterward. Bribery failed next, but as they moved up Kickbacks saw to their troll the same way. Conspiracy scattered the ball, but Graft stumbled and they were away as Corruption needed some regeneration.

Lucky for us, they stalled, throwing the pill about with abandon. Hush Money went flying back and picked it up for them, that settled things and at least forced the score. Two turns? Rarely do we get the chance, the squad poured forward, Ransom to Thieving following with the ball, their big minotaur taking the fall to leave Nepotism in reach, who clumsily took an extra dodge on the way to scoring. Marvellous, first one for the season.

Extortion and Anarchy lead the way on our ball in the 2nd. Bribery's stupidity gave them an entrance to the ball, and the big ogre knocked out Thieving. It looked perilous, but Extortion, Bribery, and Anarchy all worked for us, Dirty Pool lead to Nepotism, and he just dodged through to score. Miraculous.

Extortion and Anarchy stayed. Animosity between players slowed their advance (better than our usual stupidity), but they came forward steadily and Bribery couldn't make a handy block as players from both teams were dragged back to the bench. Fortunately, their minotaur took a pratfall again, leaving a small gap to be created by Extortion as the big lads were confused again. Ransom and Nepotism covered, scattered the ball usefully, though the ref had finally seen enough of that Dirty Pool.

The trolls continued lolling about, Extortion killed himself for a moment, but Nepotism ran away with the ball, hiding in our own end zone. On the Y. The crowd pitched the ball back to them, but Bribery finally rushed to cover it on the ground, and Ransom and Nepotism helped. They "couldn't handle the pressure", the game was ours.

Wins like that do cost us though, they'll walk away with far more winnings, and all we get is some points on the board (and certainly not any casual side bets), all thanks to the random love of Nuffle of course.
