“The Champions faced some Dark Elves and realized on the pitch that many of our opposition were carrying various alarming injuries. When Ultimatos cas'd one of the niggled ones it looked promising. But it soon seemed to go wrong as their Witch Elves launched forward. Two skinks cas'd and one KO'd in the space of 3 Blitz strikes. Santo was one of those exposed and a Witch Elf had the ball. We repeatedly got the ball back but undermanned we couldn't keep them out and a Witch eventually scored. Superiore had at least badly hurt a Blitzer but Santo was again taken down to leave us without a half-time TD. What an embarrassment it seemed.

Second half another skink was injured. But then suddenly the match changed. The crippling injuries of our opponents were exposed. They appeared tired, their dark power waning, and the Lizards were angry. Spartacus KO'd and injured Elves while the Krox Diablo Ko'd one and then killed a Blitzer! Santo had taken the ball. Rio Grande killed another cripple and the weak Assassin was badly hurt too. We scored after this ferocious bloodletting. An amazing phase of play.

With 5 v 8 players a Witch Elf held back for her chance. Rio Grande snaked during his charge forward, but an Elf double skulled. Rio Grande then took the carrier down and Santo did the honours with the winning TD.

After the match we get back up to 5 rostered Saurii. A good day for us.”
