“This was another match against a new coach, but high elves are still pretty good straight out of the box, no matter who's controlling them, so I was somewhat cautious on the first drive, keeping the ball well-protected and only throwing a little pass before scoring.

Zeimian then had several turns of bad dice, which allowed me to score twice more in quick succession, so that the game was all but over by the half with the humans 3-0 up.

In the second half I went into cruise mode, feeling that with the score safely in my favour, it wouldn't hurt to let Ziemian get a few turns of solid offence and a consolation score. Sadly, his dice continued to let him down and I racked up another score simply by being in the right place at the right time.

After that, I sat back and protected my players while the elves went for the TD. For two turns in a row the dice tried their hardest to prevent the score, but finally, on their very last turn, the Leafeaters ran one in, leaving me to throw an unnecessary long pass to close things up.

It was a painless game, with not a single casualty despite a reasonable amount of blocking, and even though I now have enough gold to replace the dead lineman from last game, I thought I would save the money until next time, just in case that one is a bit more brutal.

Thx for the game, Ziemian, and hopefully you'll find some opponents soon who haven't been around since the dawn of time. But come looking for a rematch any time if you want revenge. It was a fun game.”
