“Well, the wood elves certainly got smacked round the head with a stupid stick before this match - as did their coach. I really did myself no favours by making a couple of stupid placing mistakes, and against a coach like Gary_Gygax, a stupid mistake is all he needs.

Apart from my own carelessness, I fumbled a pick up, muffed a catch, double-skulled a loner block and made the tree trip up twice. After all that, I was lucky to come away with 2 scores, and the second one of those was only after the dark elves made their own failed pick up.

Still, games like this can still be fun if you don't stress it too much, and this was definitely the case here. I was laughing at my own misfortune, although it did help that neither of the legends went out at any point, and it was nice (and not at all unexpected) to see Gary_Gygax score as quickly and as often as he could, even when he was several players up and the tree had taken root.

There is a problem with games like this though, and that is that they make me want to get straight back onto Gamefinder...and I really ought to be in bed.
