“Brutal game against regenerating skeletons and dried up vampires. Dorfs had a singular game plan: block, then block some more, then keep blocking. They won blocks 64-27 and casualties 7-0... that only a single opponent was left for dead at the end of game was a testament to the powers of regeneration!
Dorfs managed to equalize before halftime, then ground it out to score in second half. Skellies had some good shots at the ball bearer before that, using their hypnotic gaze capabilites to break the cage again and again, but eventually numbers prevailed and the Slayers made their one dodge of the game, a 4+ (with a reroll remaining) to get away from a skeleton and hobble towards the end zone.
Also: Johnny Balle III intercepted a vampire-to-vampire pass on a natural 6, and that broke the spine of the vampires. He's the second player on the team to ever make an interception (first one was Cesar).
A much-longed-for win for the dorfs, and with the 8 casualties of last game very good for my casualty statistics.”
