A blitz at the beginning made it look like the Winter Whispers were going to do well to steal a defensive touchdown.. but the Nurgle mushed everyone onto the ball, and (with a very poor decision by their coach) the elves were unable to blitz the catcher free. This promptly led to 2 catchers being removed from the pitch, not to return that game.

Dechus recovered the ball, and started to cage forward, but eventually, the persistence of sidestepping Icers disrupted the cage, and Haunting Night dove into 1die the ball carrier, and in the ensuing chaos Rime Ice actually caught it, despite numerous disturbing presences. He was then able to blitz forward, and Haunting Night leaped into scoring range, and the only available pestigor tripped on a gfi, unable to prevent the defensive 1-0 conclusion on turn 8 of the first half.

In the second half, the Whispers took a few risks near the beginning (as they were down 7-11 on the pitch, this wasn't a great idea). However, this proved to put Dechus out of position, and after another mad scramble for the ball, the only tackle Pestigor was KO'd, and the Winter were able to move forward and screen the ball, to ensure a T8 touchdown for a 2-0 victory.”
