It was green as far as the eye could see when Miami arrived to play against Army. The Grunts won the toss and elected to kick, and Miami immediately began playing hard offence directly through the center of the pitch. Once Miami had an overwhelming number of players within range of the endzone they threw a Hail Mary pass, but the pass went astray, and Army recovered. But as Army attempted to clear the ball out of their half of the pitch a bumbled hand off left the ball loose to be recovered by Miami, taking the lead 1-nil.
A Riot then broke out in the stands, and during the confusion and chaos Army got the ball into the hands of a goblin and attempt to throw the goblin and the ball downfield. But the din of the crowds left the troll feeling confused, to the point that he did not notice the goblin, and instead stood staring at the stands. After several kicks from the goblin the troll looked down, saw the goblin with the ball pointing at the endzone, and realized now was his time to shine. Unfortunately the troll fumbled the throw, dropping the goblin on their head, and injuring them. The whistle blew, ending the first half, 1-nil Miami.
Second half, Miami kicked the ball to Army, who quickly recovered and caged in around the ball. After a few turns the advance had slowed at midfield, as Miami refused to give any ground. All of a sudden a custard pie flew into the face of the troll from Army, leaving the troll distracted, and leaving an opening for Miami to walk in and blitz the ball carrier. Miami recovered the ball, and the poor troll was still busy cleaning the pie off of his face to stop them, leaving Miami with a chance of an open lane. Though Army was able to close in on the ball carrier, Miami chain push the ball carrier clear, and ran the ball in to take their lead up to 2-nil.
Miami kicked the ball deep, and quickly retreated with any surviving players, but not before blitzing down the goblin, robbing Army of any chance at a touchdown. Once the dust had cleared the whistle blew, ending the match, 2-nil Miami.
Good game.”
