CIBBL+ Y1, Spring - BWM4: round 4:

The spring season was drawing towards its end when Lyndon the Seafarer nipped from his crystal glass, half-filled with a golden liquid, glistening in the fading sunlight. The former see captain was seated in a velvet divan, staring at the setting sun from his suite at the top floor of the Siddering Eel, the town's most prestigious inn. Though he didn't bother trying the local dish that had gained the inn its name, he definitely appreciated the innkeepers stock of dreamwine. The previous weeks had offered plenty of time and opportunity to gather news from seamen in the port's numerous taverns and pubs. But nothing useful so far. Not a single hint that could be connected to the sea dragon's disappearance. Lyndon finished his cup and went to bed. The next day his Archivists would face the Dragonbone Dread'Tilians in the season's last game. If Amanar was not to be found, the least he could do was focus on his new job as a blood bowl coach!

Hours before kick-off a mysterious mist settled around the stadium. No one seemed to understand where the mist had suddenly come from. Even when the players entered the field, the fog stubbornly lingered. Lyndon's inexperienced crew was a little unnerved by the persistent haze. The Archivist's coach remained unimpressed though. "Don't let that mist distract you!", he shouted from the sidelines. "Real seamen don't fear a little surf and fog!", he added. The encouragement seemed to work as Rhulan knocked out an opposing Shearl. The sea elves, trusting in their sturdy armour, increased the pressure on the ball and brought the Fimir's advance to a standstill. The resulting brawl went up and down until finally the Marsh-Sorceress found an opening in the elves' defense. The move was not without risk though, but a failed dodge on the blitz targeting the ball-carrier caused an earlier turnover for the Archivists. Next turn the daemon blitzed free and ran in the opening score: 0-1 for the 'Tilians with three turns left before halftime.

A Blitz! on the ensuing kick-off seriously reduced the Archivist's chances to equalize, especially when Ethandril - carrying the ball - snaked a GFI while running towards the opposing end-zone! Next turn the ball was stolen from the elves and all chances for an equalizer had vaporized: 0-1 at halftime.

The sea elves' coach had inspired his troops during the break and encouraged them to score as soon as possible. Easier said than done, carrying a field plate on your torso! Nevertheless the Archivists intended to execute their coach's plan. Creating an opening in the opposition's sturdy defense didn't prove as easy as the coach had promised. Some risks had to be taken, but they paid off when some of the Fimirs rushed towards Aerys. He dodged free and lobbed the ball right into the hands of Eldain who ran in the equalizer next turn: 1-1 with four turns to go!

Still convinced of the soundness of his tactics, Lyndon urged his players forwards once more. "Pressure that cage!", he cried. "And squeeze out the ball!", he shouted. Turn 7 turned out to be the game-changer. First Gildor Tidebreaker honored his name by taking out Spiked-Death, one of the Fimir's feared Fianna Fimm. Then Feldor followed his captain's example by killing S'tellik, a lowly Shearl. Maelwyn, encouraged by his teammates' success, moved in and blitzed the ballcarrying Fimm, knocking him down. Finally, Ethandril dodged free and moved into scoring range. The 'Tilians didn't just stand by and look. Desperately trying to recover the ball, the Fimirs pushed and struggled, but eventually the ball scattered into a favourable position for the Archivists. Aerys moved in, grabbed the ball, dodged out and launched it towards Ethandril who ran in the winning touchdown: 2-1 and second win for the Archivists!

#9 S'telik – Dead (RIP)
Had some good luck first drive and in the end of the second, but then it shifted it a bit, which was prolly only fair. Seaelfs were squeezing on our cage and we kinda had a "unlucky" positional on the ball and they finally took poor S'telik down and even the big crowd favoured "Spiked Death" was carried off by the stretchers. The Seaelfs then played a really impressive pass and ran it in!

GG to Bram and we wish you good luck looking for that Dragon, that definitly didnt get lost in the Fog!
