Remember the Rats was their name...and they will be remembered by the Sherwood Forest March for sure! Because this game was a real sweater, and it was the longest game the team has ever had. It lasted 3 hours and 1 minute :)

The game was very even. With the 1 turner Akarimo on the field, a score was never far away for the rats. The wood elves started out badly, having the drive but letting a td slip in. Had they not made this early mistake, they might have won the game actually. Whenever SFoM scored, the rats took the lead the turn after, through Akarimo.

However, in the 2nd half things changed a bit. As the rats took their 2nd cas, coach Harvester found it to be good to field Akarimo in the defence as well, and not only the offence, in order to still have 11 player on the field. But it was apparent that Akarimo has never played defence before, because the first block he received (from the rookie Arthur A Bland even!) he was put in the knock out box from the shock, and never recovered :P Soon after the rats got another player ko'd, and they were now down to 9, which lasted for the rest of the game.

SFoM had a great chance to take the lead and secure a win after cutting off the thrower Mezser who was supposed to receive a handoff, forcing the thrower Tagee to pass Raxalan instead who were guarded by Gilbert and Arthur A Bland. Without any rerolls left, Raxalan still received the pass (4+), AND dodged out of Gilbert's diving tackles TWICE (5+ and 4+ without rr's) to score (rolled a 6 and a 5)! After that SFoM played safe to make sure they at least got a draw. Because Akarimo could be back at any drive.

Still it was fairly close that Roger of Doncaster screwed it all up with an almost fumbled pass that even the most inept rookie should have managed. But a team reroll saved it, and after that followed a 2+ handoff and a 2+ dodge without rerolls. The bad luck the team usually have, didn't show up this time and a draw became a reality.

Thanks for the game Harvester, your rats will indeed be remembered!
