With their rookie replacements being carted off the pitch in the opening exchange of blows with bad injuries, the Dragons were instantly on the back foot.

Resorting to the only tactic they thought was worth any salt - laying in the boot - the Dragons managed a couple of blows back but had star thrower Lin Denn sent off in the process. The inevitable was delayed and the Frollikers led 1-0.

The Dragons then with only 6 players managed again to hold up the Frollikers, managed to badly injure the opposing minotaur Cowson and nearly pulled off a remarkable tying TD but fell short and they hit the sheds still 1-0 down.
