Okay, so some takeaways.

1) keep your big guys central. You should need a really good reason to move a big guy into the wide zone. Don't start that way.

2) diagonal blocking on the line. Start with the center then go down the line, blocking the same way each time. If you have Guard put it at the center or one square to the direction you're pushing. In general, you should think more about your blocking angles, it'll make you a better coach.

3) one advanced trick you could profit from is the concept of "double-screening" and the "buddy system":
3.1) a screen is two players with one or two empty squares between them.
3.2) when in doubt (there are exceptions), give each player one or more "buddies" adjacent to them, horizontally (line), vertically (stack), or diagonally (trap).
3.3) two pairs of buddies with an empty square between them (or two squares if both pairs are vertical "stacks") form a double-screen, which can't be blitzed through. Practice using different kinds of buddy systems and double-screens. Generally lines are more aggressive than stacks or traps, stacks offer redundancy but are a little narrower than lines or traps, and traps provide the same breadth as lines, with the same player protection as stacks, but without the redundancy at the edge.

4) Yhetees suck. Like, the worst bang for buck in the whole game. Ulfwerener are great. Like, one of the best bargains in the whole game (though not quite on the level with Chaos Warriors or Amazon Blockers). New Claw is unimpressive, to say the least: against AV9+, Claw is 90/1296 to score a Cas, MB is 130/1296, both together is 150/1296, and both together in the last edition was 186/1296. So the gain of 56/1296 cas from Claw on top of MB has been reduced by over 60% against the most common AV score. Used to be your Yhetee needed MB to be good but then look out, but now even MB won't save them, they're still a skill behind a Minotaur with Guard or Brawler.

5) Oh, and one of my 2SPP guys got MVP and rolled Guard. Random Strength skills are the way to go on Norse Linemen who hit 6 points., cuz you could make good use of 6 out of 10 possible skills (Guard, Mighty Blow, Grab, Stand Firm, Break Tackle, Juggernaut). Random Generals on 3 to 5 points. Never pay full price for a lino skill unless it's Block, and Norse start with Block.

Addendum: I updated my yearbook with descriptions of how I use all the skills and skill-combos on my team, if that's of any interest to you.
