BUSINESS AS USUAL FOR FAVOURED FOXES

The Tin Spur hosted the Foxes for the second time this season and the outcome, and the scorers, were the same as the previous encounter.

Against all the odds, the hosts created early hope for themselves. Christian Miller, who had picked up a niggle in the previous encounter, was fatally retired by Thomas Leboucher. Having lost Carlos Lobato and seeing Sean Bunting's neck broken in the previous match, Coach Wilson will have been pleased to have evened up the score on that front. But Leboucher would then need treatment after a block by Benedik Horvath.

There was a flurry of activity with the ball too as Logan Woodside, hoping to impress his coach and stake a claim to be the starting quarterback over club captain, Ottmar Wirt, failed a simple pass to Richard Lane. The bouncing ball then slipped through Wirt's hands, as the coaching team looked on in disbelief. Randy Savage's blitz on Zachary Blaide resulted in the ball bouncing into the hands of Dre'Mont Jones. Chandler Cox and Joseph Broseph knocked out Carlos Torrosa and Ola Adeniyi respectively before Rayan Khefif scored the game's first touchdown.

After the buzzer, Rafa Brigante sought out Khefif and managed to deliver a concussion to the blitzer. Savage then knocked out Juan Thornhill. The Blaide twins were involved heavily in the action; Zachary being hurt by Calvin Ridley and Isaiah knocking out LJ Collier. Savage then shoved Leboucher off the pitch in the battle of the big hitters, Brigante dislocated Horvath's shoulder, and Lane fouled Nate Kelly, for which he was sent to the dugout.

Boomer Esiason scored again to mirror the scorers and the scoreline from the first meeting of these two coaches before Woodside, again, couldn't get the ball to stick in Lane's hands.

It's now a run of 8 games without a win over the Foxes by the Unicorns - the last one a 4-3 victory with 4 scores by franchise legend TY Hilton. The Unicorns will hope their home fortunes change and that a trip to Merchant Navy Field might yield better results against the Foxes.”
