We spotted a small village of puny elves that looked wealthy enough to line our coffers for some time to come.
Rowing ashore, we were suprised by a lighting quick ambush that rocked us back on our heals. The elves quickly surrounded <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=266931">1st Mate Thomas Fern</a> and hit him upside the head that we could only surmise was a coconut, knocking him out for the first part of the raid. <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=269317">Sneaky Pete Polhill</a> was also KO'd by a ferocious <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=1086278">elf warrior</a> that looked as if he had been smoking something that made him "crazy".
We tried regrouping but the elves must have had a spy on the ship. As they seemed to know exactly what our battle plans were and responded to it with pinpoint precision.
At every turn we were taken aback to find elves LEAPING fearlessly into our ranks and causing havoc.
<a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=489949">Seaman Mezir</a> was seriously injured and the Cap'n is afraid he'll have to make him walk the plank as he now has a limp that might prevent him from joining further raids. The only thing Mezir has going for him at this time is that he killed one of the <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=957956">elves</a> before being injured himself, that and the fact that he developed a nasty disposition that will make him a suitable running mate to <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=266928">Lucky Wuhan</a>.
The big <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=992839">minotaur</a>, a recent purchase at the slave market, proved his worth when late in the raid he killed one of the <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=1088563">elf leaders</a>.
A bloody, yet humiliating defeat at the hands of the elves. We did escape with some of their gold and an intense desire to regroup and come back at some point in the future to finish them off. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....”
