However, his dark elves were NOT nice. Without a single foul and only a single crowdpush (stun), they managed to single-handedly drive my team to retirement. Ok, I've been leaning further and further that way of late, but this game drove me over the edge. He tried to kill a player (apo saved), only to niggle that same player the very next turn. Niggled a second elf, and my catcher aged a niggle on his third skill (a double, too, of course). So in the last 4 or 5 games, I've had 5 elves age a niggle (all on second or third skill, mind you), suffered niggles on the pitch to another 3, and had two uninjured players die. Sure, the team wins a lot, and our 12/6/6 record should have been even better if not for a couple spectacular defensive collapses in a few games, but the team is almost completely dinged and banged up. I could probably tough it out, play players despite their niggles. Or I could retire them all, then play a dozen games with only a 5 man roster. Or, the option I'm gonna exercise, I'm simply gonna retire the team and create a new, healthy team in its place. We had fun--you'll be hard pressed to find a team which has rolled more doubles for skill rolls, this team was going places. Unfortunately, in the world of bloodbowl it's all about "what have you done for me lately", and this team is no longer viable. I'll take the lessons learned from this roster and apply them in the future, so some good can come of this almost-legendary-to-be team.”
