“Walking onto the Donut Shoppe in front of 108000 screaming fans was something new to the SWL Avengers, and at first the whole thing seemed a little daunting.
However as the game started it was all business for the elves as they took advantage of a fumble by Rootstrong Ironbark, however making up for his mistake the aging star intercepted! Unbelievable stuff!
Then Liam Supperman misthrew a pass and the Avengers were away, as the ball was handed off to aging star Estathin and he ran it over the line.
Mr Whippy's Lads then quickly Drew the game with Eppo Striding across the line after a brilliant throw from Rootstrong.
1-1 at turn 3.
After that things got mired down in an endless hot potato match, with a few casualties along the way. The fans loved it however and the game turned out to be a lot of fun.
After the match the SWL Avengers were happy with the draw, glad to get out alive with all those rabid fans around :P
The after match party was a decadent affair hosted by the generous Mr Whippy himself, and the Avengers must admit to partaking generously in the celebrations.
The question remains however, who are they avenging?

And it was actually a great match too!
The Avengers scored swiftly with a nice passing manouever and then Eppo was flung over for his obligatory TD.
Then the match got edgy... defense actually came to the for, with both teams holding on grimly. In fact, the Avengers probably would have won if it was not for an interception by, of all players, star tree Rootstrong Ironbark!
It was truly a great match. Eppo broke the 100spp barrier and Mr Whippy hosted a great party afterwards for both teams with Choc Ices, Custard Centres and lashings of lemonade! Huzzah!!
