The Watering Holes celebrated their 10th game in the SWL today, and their first with a full roster of 11 players. To mark this occasion, they invited the Gumbinauts around, with the intent of actually playing some Blood Bowl, as opposed to just sinking piss for an hour or so(Shock! Horror!) . Things started so well, with Northern Star palming off Gumbot agressively enough to force him to miss the rest of the game, and the next one, then slowly grinding the ball up field, until he was so close to the line, he could smell it. With Dark Elves bearing down on him, he turned to his trusty hip flask of Blundy for a shot of last second courage, and drinking from it, found it instead to be Passionpop! Disgusted, he fell to the ground in the pouring rain, clutching his stomach, and of course dropping the ball. Quick transition from the Gumbinauts made it 1-0 at the break.

At halftime, it was all Coach could do to stop the boyz from getting completely tanked, such was their misery. The second period saw more rain fall, more Ogres behave stupidly, and more hairs on Coach's head turn grey. Lucky Country managed to catch an inaccurate pass that was sailing past him, and again, the Ogres moved towards scoring. Eventually, the only thing between Lucky and glory was the Dark Elf thrower Delaney. Lucky drew back a giant gnarled fist to smite the pointy eared git, but threw his arm back too fast, overbalanced, and fell into a crumpled heap. The sound of Coach bashing his head on his desk could be heard even above the din of the crowd.

With heavy hearts, and bone heads, the Ogres returned home, having lost by one solitary touchdown. This had been their first serious attempt at playing Blood Bowl, and the loss hurt them deeply. More training was needed, much more, if they boyz want to win games consistantly. And they do.
