I'd like to confirm this match was strange. Not the usual crashes, but weird out of sync problems, multiple footballs at one stage, and reloading problems. Nuff said.

As to the game, Laviak was a most frustrating opponent. Those Wardancers are pure evil, dodging into cages to take 1-die blocks and coming up with the needed POW. I had troubles with his Tree, difficulty knocking down his blodgers and just couldn't hold onto the ball.

That being said, it was a tough game for Laviak, and a failed leap or block here and there could've made things interesting. RIP'ing his player early on was a heavy blow which Laviak took in his stride. The 2nd RIP was really nasty, his Block/Kick lineman, but again, little reaction. (I suddenly realised this guy had been playing Woodelves way too long!)

I actually disagree that the 2nd half blitz was any good. I think I would have been better served holding some players back, and engaging the bulk of the Welves, rather than rushing to the ball. Of course, the bounce could have been better, but that's hindsight for you.

2-0 down, and I really wanted to score. You'd think 11-7 players would make this easy, but again Laviak threw everything at me, especially the Wardancers. A bit of luck allowed me to get over the line, just as the game siren sounded.

Well done to Laviak, for a most enjoyable (yet disjointed) win. Not sure what was up with the program. Only the Freebooterz 2nd loss, and Big Dan isn't happy!

EDIT: One day I will learn to Spell!

#12 Solid Snake – Dead (RIP)
#13 Stinging Bee – Dead (RIP)
This was a strange match. I doubt that the replay will work well at all, due to numerous disconnections. I don't think that the wood elves managed to break the orc armour more than two or three times in the whole match, but the reverse certainly was not the case ;-)

The apothecary was used early in the first half to prevent a niggling injury on Sleeping Bear. Immediately afterwards, was the first death - Stinging Bee was mistaken for a fly, and was squished. Amidst all of the chaos, the ball somehow found its way into the hands of Flapping Duck, who passed it on to Laughing Baboon for a touchdown in around turn 4 of the first half - just after a second death - Solid Snake, and our first disconnect. (It worked way better the first time I tell you) ;-).

Some seemingly suicidal moves kept the orcs at bay for the remainder of the half - we even came close to a second touchdown ourselves! (but not that close).

The second half saw the orcs pull off a fine blitz, bringing three of their players awfully close to the ball. All seemed lost, until a lucky bounce left it free for Silent Owl to swoop in and collect it. Some fairly traditional wood elf play left the ball carrier far too deep in the orcish half for them to reach, bringing the score to 2-0 after the second turn.

By this time, the elves were really getting low on numbers, with only 7 left on the pitch. There wasn't really much of a chance of stopping the orcs this time, but they tried some fairly suicidal plays, and freed up the ball! Sadly, Stalking Wolf fumbled the pass leaving the field open for the orcs to bring in a solitary touchdown as the game drew to a close.
